Depth Micrometer

by ManufacturingET.org · August 2, 2011

Depth micrometers are used to find the depth of blind holes.  The main thing to remember when using a depth micrometer is that the scale is reversed.  As the thimble screws in, the value gets greater.

Most depth micrometers are sold with a variety of spindles of different length that can be used to measure a variety of hole depths.
