Create a sheet metal part model of the component shown below. Alternate parts must be approved by the instructor.
The sheet metal leg shown in the video is:
.0625 thick (16 Gauge)
The inside bend radius is equal to the material thickness.
The height of the formed bracket is 3.5 inches tall.
Be sure to include reliefs at the bend corners.
PROCEDURE
Start new model in NX Sheet metal
Go to Menu->Preferences
set material thickness
inside bend radius
and other parameters
Insert a tab as the base feature
This can be sketched
Insert bends and tabs
Round features as necessary
Add cutouts and formed features
Flatten
