AutoCAD View Commands – LAB

Introduction

This lab will familiarize you with the view commands in AutoCAD.  In order to use AutoCAD efficiently, you must be able to control what you are looking at.  The drawing you will use in this lab contains a circle that is drawn to the approximate size of the earth, a circle drawn to the size of the moon, a building drawn to scale, and a human being drawn to scale.  You will need to be able to zoom in and out properly to get the information requested.

F1 and HELP
ID
OPEN
PAN
PLOT
REGEN
“Spacebar”
ZOOM  –   ALL; EXTENTS; WINDOW; .5X; PREVIOUS

Procedure

Start AutoCAD

Open lab_1.dwg

Locate the following:

Toolbars
Menus
Command Line
Coordinates Box
Snap/Grid/Ortho Toggle Buttons

Your instructor will show you how to set the AutoCAD interface for command line interface.  Learn this TODAY!

Print out the PDF below and fill in the answers.  This will be what you turn in.
